Death Comes to Pemberley

Do you love Pride and Prejudice adaptations as much as we do? Check out the first edition of our More Than Memes Podcast — The All Things Pride and Prejudice Podcast Edition!

For months and months, my ATX Festival friends (Karrie and Dana) and I (Kayti) have been trying to get our act together and start a pop culture podcast: More Than Memes. We’ve chatted often, recorded frequently, even edited together a few sessions, but none of these conversations have made it onto the Interwebz. Until now. BEHOLD…

Or you can download the podcast directly HERE.

Welcome to our first ever podcast session! Though this was recorded months ago, the topic — adaptations of Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice — is timeless and seemingly infinite. Also, today just happens to mark the 10-year anniversary of the 2005 film adaptation of Pride and Prejudice.

Though this session starts with a discussion of the then new-to-America miniseries Death Comes to Pemberley, we discuss many versions of the Pride and Prejudice world, including:

Death Comes to Pemberley (2013)

Pride and Prejudice (1995)

Bridget Jones Diary (2001)

Pride and Prejudice (2005)

Lost in Austen (2008)

The Lizzie Bennet Diaries (2014)

Also, full disclaimer, this is the first podcast we have done and it is a little rough around the edges. There are mentions of editing things out that we didn’t get around to, but isn’t it more authentic that way?

And, I’m just going to leave this here…
